Dental Snore Appliance recommended by the U.S. Army compared to CPAP

|

The U.S. Army Researchers discovered that a higher percentage of patients using a dental appliance ( adjustable oral appliance) have a reduction in their AHI score (below five apneic events per hour in their study). This report was in the Journal CHEST, titled “Efficacy of an Adjustable Oral Appliance and CPAP for the Treatment of Obstructive Sleep Apnea Syndrome”.

Remember!!! 50% of patients that have purchased a CPAP device do not use the device because of the discomfort. CPAP is the device that is used for severe cases. For less severe cases, a patient has more options.
