Can children whiten their teeth at any age? Drs. Capps, Bowman & Padgett will consider each case individually. If the teeth are yellow and are unacceptable socially, we would consider whitening. Whitening a teens teeth are usually safe to whiten once all permanent teeth have come in.
Young teenagers may have social pressures to whiten their teeth. Females have a greater awareness of their self-esteem and their appearance than males do. It does not usually become a concern for a male teenager until they have a reason to whiten, i.e. GIRLS.
In-office whitening vs home-whitening, which is better? We have better control of whitening with in-office technique than the home-whitening technique (we are placing the material to bleach on the teeth and we can observe the chemical reaction as the bleach work)
