Can Implants be placed if you have Osteoporosis?

February of 2012 the Journal of Oral Implantology reported that the research
they conducted found that patients
receiving immediate implant placement procedures
while on drug therapy for osteoporosis has a very good success rate.
That is great news!!!
The patients were taking medicines (bisphosphonates) for less than three
years. They advise that if you have taken bisphosphonates for more than
three years, you increase the risk of developing bisphosphonate-induced
osteonecrosis of the jaw.
